The Steps To Create A Hollywood Film - Part 4

There is much more to creating a Hollywood hit than just putting your idea onto film. The next things are perhaps some of the most critical pieces of a film because without them your efforts won't be shown the way want them to and the entire process and all the time and money you put into your idea will be a waste.

Like the title says this is part 4 of a 5 part post so if you haven't read any one of the posts you should go back and do so now. If you have forgotten any of the steps in the 10 part process you should also go back and familiarize yourself with them in order to have the most knowledge of the process. If you remember the last part the final step we left off on was filming and so we will pick up there.

Edit

After you have done the fun work and getting your idea captured on film it is time to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Although this can take a long time to get everything you want to appear in the order that you imagine it will all be worth it if you have done your best on everything else up to this point. Getting your first film created is a huge accomplishment and because of that you want the editing process to run smoothly and portray your idea perfectly.

During the entire editing process you should be present. Most people will just let the editors and director figure everything out and this isn't the best way to do it, it was your idea and you will have the best knowledge of what direction you want the film to go.

Re-edit

After you have edited the film and you have a rough copy of it you should take that to as many personal friends as you know and have them watch it. What you are looking for here is for people to give you criticism about the film. You don't want people to just say good job and say it is perfect because no film is perfect after just one edit. Normally films will go through 5-10 re-edits to get the story right and make sure every little thing is perfectly portrayed.

In this re-editing stage you will want to make sure the story flows, and that your audience won't be lost while watching it. Have you ever watched a movie that you could tell that it wasn't planned out very well because it was so confusing? Well if you have then you will know just how annoying that can be and so you want to avoid that.

You are almost there, just a couple most steps to go and your entire film will be ready to rake in the big money and have fans wanting more. In the final steps we talk about getting everything ready to be released and shown to the public at the movies or on their home entertainment system. don't miss these final 2 steps because they are extremely important.
