The Steps To Create A Hollywood Film - Part 3
Creating a Hollywood film is not easy and it definitely takes some time to get everything you need together in order to hit the big screen with a bang. In parts 1 and 2 we learned how to get your idea from your head onto paper and turn it into a script that can be presented to a studio or producer. In this part we will learn the next couple steps in order to get your film that much closer to where you want it to be.
Financing
I know we touched on this a little bit in part 2 but there is more to financing than just finding a partner to work with. When you get financing most of the time you aren't just paying interest on the money like you would a bank, you are now partners. Being a partner means that every decision you make will need to be agreed upon with your partners and if not they will most likely pull the plug and you will be out the money that you have already spent.

Casting
This is perhaps one of the toughest parts because in your script and idea you had a specific image that you wanted portrayed and if you can't find that person you will have the alter the entire script. Here is where most newbies get dismantled and their idea and hard work goes down the drain. The reason for this is because people think that just because a studio has used a certain high profile actor before that they can do it again and it doesn't work like that. Most high profile actors and actresses have people lined up to use them and so you will be put on the back burner and be charged a lot of money for a start.
If you don't know what some actors and actresses charge for a film you might be surprised. Will Smith for instance takes in roughly $20 million plus a percentage of film earnings, Denzel Washington takes in about the same amount, Brad Pitt brings in a little less than that and if you want people who are under $1 million then you are looking at almost no name actors.
Film
This next part is the most important part when it comes to following up your initial idea and putting your idea onto film. When it comes to filming you need to understand that any angle, cast member, prop, or whatever else you want in the film needs to be handy. If you want to do a shot with a prop and then a couple without one you need to make sure you do those together that way when it comes to for editing you have everything you need.
This is perhaps the biggest part but there is nobody that can tell you what to do in filming because it is your idea being put together.
Now that you have everything up to your filming done it is time to move on a put everything together. You will be able to see the next 4 steps in the 2 following posts.
